He is shown at about 55 pounds. He was not shown for an extended period due to an eye injury, since healed, that he developed.
He was a clear, brilliant red with white markings. He produced his color consistently.
He was massive for his size, with a short back and very heavy bone. His rib and brisket were excellent, shoulders were particularly broad and his rear was outstanding. He was heavily wrinkled with a nice head, beautiful jaw and particularly nice feet.
Jeb was from a litter of four. His sister and brother finished. He is pictured at 13 months.
- Best Puppy Dog at BCNJ Match under Betty Davey.
- RWD at BC Connecticut Specialty under Marie Andree.
- Jeb has gone over specials from the classes.
- He was good for a bitch who needs a smaller male since he had the necessary substance in a compact size. When bred to a big bitch, he had been consistent in getting size down without sacrificing substance. He tended to add wrinkle to a plain faced bitch and tended to correct for legginess.
- He produced short-backed, heavy-boned pups with excellent layback, especially when line-bred.
- He sired six champions -- five with one or more with specialty majors and/or specialty BOS; one of these also won the BCNJ Breeder’s Futurity. Two others both have multiple specialty BPIM, and All Breed Puppy Match BIS.
