Conformation

General Properties

Wayward Angel describes her perfectly.  Angel has a face that could melt a heart of stone.  At age six months, at her first show -- a well-attended specialty, of course – she decided that she could not, and would not walk on a leash, so she plastered herself on her back in the middle of the ring and screamed.  Her screams were blood curdling, and disappeared immediately outside the ring, where she gleefully practiced figure eights and free stacked perfectly for her many fans and supporters outside the show building.

 Angel is a heavy-boned red and white piebald with a heavy black mask. She is very clean, with a hard, slick coat and fully pigmented eye rims and lips.  She weighs 49 pounds.  She has exceptionally nice side movement, with a beautiful topline which holds together flawlessly and a nice roll.  Her rear movement is good, and she comes in somewhat in front.

Head

Angel has a deep, brick shaped head which reminds us of her great-aunt Daffodil.  She has an exceptionally wide, well-turned jaw with perfectly even little teeth.  Her jaw is true, and she buttons up perfectly.  Her eyes are almost black, round and properly set, with no problems of any kind.  She has small, fine, well-set ears. Her stop is long and deep.  She has a black mask which fully covers her muzzle, and lots of black pigment accenting her eyes.  Her foreface is strong sand her cheeks are well rounded.  She has a clean, well arched neck which flows smoothly into her shoulder. 

Body

Angel is deep-chested, broad shouldered bitch with a classic pair shape.  Her rib is well-sprung and her brisket is deep when viewed from the front or the side. Her topline is good, with a low set tail. She is well tucked up.   Her rear is somewhat straighter than we would like, but she uses it well.  Her feet could be tighter.   

Health and Temperament

Angel is sound, healthy bitch with no complaints.  She has a good throat, wide nostrils, and no eye or skin problems.

 She is joyful, enthusiastic, energetic and opinionated.  She loves being the center of attention.  She is outgoing and sociable.  Angel enjoys being with dogs of both sexes;  she is playful and active, and has no interest in being dominant.

Show Record

Angel is pointed and currently being shown in the classes.  She was Best Puppy in Mach at the Bulldog Club of New Jeresey Match, from the 9-12 month class.
