"Beau"

      Beau was the Bulldogger cover dog for Number 81 (August 1997).  His breeder wrote of him:

Ch. Glyndebourne Royal Fanfare "Beau" was whelped on August 21, 1981.  He was sired by Ch. DeyDel's Dynamic Zeus, out of Luthien Diva of Glyndebourne, a granddaughter of Ch. Westfield Cunemorous Stone.  Beau was my first champion, and adored house pet.

A flashy red and white, with a wide and true jaw, he was beautifully balanced.  Even as a young puppy, he was a standout; as he matured he never went through an awkward stage.  He completed his championship at 13 months of age, in spite of our inexperience in the show ring.  As a special, he went on to win eight Non-sporting Group firsts, numerous Group placements and several Bulldog Specialty Best of Breeds.

Beau was an outstanding sire.  He is a BCA hall of Fame producer with 18 champion get to his credit.  Included among these are a BCA National Specialty award of Merit recipient and a BCA Hall of Fame producer.  He is also the grandsire and great grandsire of two BCA National specialty Best of Breed Winners.

Beau died in 1995 at a ripe old age of 13 and a half years.  he had a zest for life, was fond of watching TV, loved our house cat and adored going to dog shows.  He is greatly missed.
